Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to prepare?
The most important things you need to have are a nice full belly, your ID, and to be well hydrated! Please avoid drinking alcohol the night before as that increases bleeding. Moisturising in the weeks leading up to the appointment is also recommended.
What should I wear?
Something comfy and loose! Just ensure the spot you are getting tattooed is easy to access, and that your clothes won’t rub against it :) If your appointment is 2hrs+ make sure to bring something warm, as the studio can get chilly with the AC!
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at the time stated on your confirmation text! If you arrive a lot earlier, feel free to pop in and let me know that you’re here, I’ll be able to point out some of my fave West End spots for you to explore whilst you wait!
Can I bring a friend?
100%! Feel free to bring a friend or a support person! I’ll set up a chair for them by the bed :) Though, if the studio is extra busy, I might request for them to stay in our cozy waiting areas to respect other artist’s work spaces <3
Licences and Certs
I possess a QLD tattoo licence (Licence No. 4956647) and maintain the highest sanitary standards in accordance with government approved infection control courses (HLTINF005). Innerbloom is also fully council approved and insured.
Touch Ups
Skin is forever changing and the healing process is different for everyone, so imperfections can occur! If you’d like to tidy or touch anything up, please reach out to me via withlovejenli@gmail.com and we can get something organised <3
Medication
Your consent form will ask you to disclose what medication you currently take so that I can ensure your safety! If there are any concerns, I will discuss them with you at your appointment. For acne meds, please gain clearance from your dermatologist.
Antibiotics
It is not safe to get a tattoo on antibiotics. If you are on antibiotics or have been in the week leading up to your appointment, unfortunately we won’t be able to proceed with your appointment! Let’s get something re-organised down the track :)
Pregnant/Breastfeeding
It is not safe to get a tattoo whilst you are pregnant or breast-feeding, so unfortunately we won’t be able to proceed with your appointment! Let’s get something re-organised down the track :)
